Single sharing PG near Christ University Yeshwanthpur — rent, deposit and what's included

A single sharing room at Infinity Space, a gents PG about 850 m from Christ University Yeshwanthpur Campus, is ₹20,000 a month. What "single sharing" means

In Bengaluru PG listings, "single sharing" means a room with one bed — you don't share it with anyone. "Double sharing" is two beds in one room, "triple sharing" three, and so on. The common areas — dining hall, lounge, gym — are shared either way.

The word "sharing" confuses a lot of first-time renters, and some listings use it loosely. Ask how many beds are in the room, not just which category it's in.

Both room types come furnished, and both have rooms available — though availability moves week to week, so message us to check.

Who a single room suits

A single room costs ₹4,000 a month more than a bed in a double. That's ₹48,000 across a 12-month stay, so it's worth being honest about whether you need it. It usually earns its cost if you:

• Sleep lightly, or keep different hours from most people — late-night study, early lectures, a part-time job.
• Study in your room rather than a library, and need quiet during exam and submission weeks.
• Take calls or online classes from your room.
• Have lived alone before and know a roommate would wear on you.

Double sharing tends to suit you better if you're new to the city and would like someone to settle in with, or if the ₹4,000 a month matters more than the privacy.

What the rent should include — anywhere

The headline rent of a single room tells you little on its own. Before comparing two PGs, ask each one:

1. Is electricity included, or billed from a meter? In a single room there's no one to split the bill with.
2. How many meals a day, and on which days? Many PGs serve two meals, or cut back on weekends.
3. Are Wi-Fi, housekeeping and laundry in the rent, or extra?
4. What's the deposit, and how do you get it back?
5. Is there a lock-in or minimum stay?

At Infinity Space the answers are: electricity is included; four meals a day Monday to Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, a full day on Sunday; Wi-Fi, housekeeping and laundry are included; the deposit is two months' rent, adjusted against April and May; and the minimum stay is 12 months.

How far it is from campus

Infinity Space is on Andrahalli Main Road in HMT Layout — the same 560073 pincode as the campus — about 850 m by road from Christ University Yeshwanthpur Campus, roughly a 10 minute walk. That's close enough to come back between classes. Nagasandra Metro on the Green Line is a 2.1 km walk, if you're heading into the city.

Booking a single room

1. Message us on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form with your preferred room type and move-in date.
2. Visit and see the actual room — parents are welcome, and we'd rather you came than booked from photos. You can also look through the photo gallery first.
3. Get the terms in writing — rent, deposit, notice period and what's included — before any money changes hands.
4. Move in. The bed, wardrobe and desk are already there.
